In this work we study the impact of relinquishment and the adoption process in posttraumatic symptoms in a group of 55 adults that were adopted as children before 1970. The effects of institutionalization, maltreatment, traumatic revelation of the adopted status and stressful life events have also been studied. No significant differences were found between institutionalized and non-institutionalized adoptees in posttraumatic symptomatology. Is it possible to use the notion of martyrdom in order to explain the communicative strategies and the semiotic mechanisms of the animalist movement? Is the animal a sort of contemporary martyr? This study aims to apply the notion of martyrdom outside the traditional boundaries of religion and politics, testing it in another relevant socio–cultural phenomenon: the contemporary animalist discourse. This paper analyses texts from animalist advertising, essays and novels promoting animal rights and vegetarianism. In this work we study the impact of relinquishment and the adoption process in posttraumatic symptoms and stressful life events in a group of 55 adults that were adopted as children after the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). The effects of institutionalization, maltreatment and traumatic revelation of the adopted status have also been studied. In this article a question is raised if it is possible for Christians to recognize Muhammad as an authentic prophet. From the point of view of religious studies Muhammad is obviously a prophet and Islam is a prophetic religion. Still, in the light of Christian theology that in Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, sees the fulfiment of the Old Testament prophecies, recognizing Muhammad as a prophet is highly problematic. Granting Muhammad the prophet status would mean the recognition of the Koran as the authentic Word of God. Oryginalne pojęcia pneumatologiczne w Kościelnej dogmatyce Karla Bartha

Artykuł wyjaśnia kilka podstawowych pojęć, które Karl Barth w swojej słynnej Kościelnej Dogmatyce proponuje zastosować w nauce o Duchu Świętym. Po wstępnej charakterystyce myśli reformowanego teologa, punkt drugi prezentuje pojęcie „sposób bytowania” („Seinsweise”). Tym pojęciem chciałby on zastąpić pojęcie „osoby” Ducha Świętego. Kolejny punkt mówi, że dla Bartha Duch Święty to „subiektywna rzeczywistość objawienia” (subjective Wirklichkeit der Offenbarung) i subiektywna możliwość objawienia (subjective Möglichkeit der Offenbarung).
